I recently got back from a trip to a wolf park. I was face to face with wolves, they licked my face walked on my lap, I actually ot one to do the happy leg like our dog's do. Ever since I was young I was absolutely fascinated with these animals. They fought right in front of us and never showed any aggression unless we did something wrong. Why do I feel this is relevant in a health and wellness discussion? Most people understand that in order to be truly healthy you must have conditioned yourself physically (weights usually, with good nutrional diet) Mentally keeping yourself as clear headed as possible, and spiritually (this is the part I tend to differ on) most people I know are of christian faith which is how I was raised. However as I have gotten older I have found great peace in nature. When i left the wolf park I felt like I was leaving home. Nature has a way of putting things in perspective, it doesn't rush through tasks but everything gets finished. I have gone through some rough times as of the last couple of weeks, I felt like I was dragging but this experience completely renwed me! What i'm getting at is not to overlook the simple things in life I don't necessarily mean letting wolves climb all over you and lick you (although it was awesome) but when you feel like things are overwhelming try getting alone with nature and just take it in.
To be admitted to Nature's hearth costs nothing. None is excluded, but excludes himself. You have only to push aside the curtain. Henry David Thoreau
